Advantage Health Africa

The EWAH Afro Awards 2024, a distinguished event celebrating African leaders and innovators, recently honoured Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, for her outstanding healthcare contributions and her pivotal support towards the Kaduna Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Project in which Advantage Health Africa is one of the partners. The awards ceremony was held at The Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi Lagos, on Sunday, 7th July 2024.

Dr. Balarabe’s achievements include her dedicated support for the Kaduna WEE Project, funded by the Bayer Foundation. This project has two main goals:

  • Empowering women farmers by providing skills and resources for their farming practices
  • Providing access to healthcare

Advantage Health Africa contributes to the project by training Community Health Entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs will serve the community, making healthcare more accessible to all, including female farmers. This collaborative effort involves partners like Healthy Entrepreneurs, CoAmana, AFEX, and the Jennifer Etuh Foundation. Together, we empower women in the healthcare sector to become healthcare entrepreneurs.
