The Guardian Nigeria Newspaper has recently published its list of the 50 most inspiring and top CEOs in 2023, and we are proud to announce that our very own Founder/CEO, Abimbola Adebakin, is among them. This is a well-deserved recognition for her outstanding achievements and contributions to the health sector in Nigeria.
Abimbola Adebakin is not just a CEO, but a health innovator and ecosystem builder with a vision to improve healthcare access, affordability, and quality in Nigeria. She founded Advantage Health Africa, an ISO 9001:2015 certified health solutions company that leverages technology, aggregation, digital health services, and pharma products to provide access to quality and affordable medicines for millions of Nigerians.
One of the core solutions that Abimbola has launched is The Advantage, a platform that powers business operations across pharmacies and drives interoperability with health innovators in Nigeria. The Advantage connects pharmacies with suppliers, distributors, insurers, and patients, creating a seamless and efficient value chain that benefits all stakeholders.
Abimbola is also passionate about empowering women and improving their livelihoods. She is leading a three-year Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) project, supported by the Bayer Foundation and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, that aims to create over 4,000 new job opportunities, increase the income of more than 35,000 female farmers, and facilitate easy access to healthcare services for up to 500,000 households across 10 LGAs in Kaduna.
Abimbola has been widely recognized and awarded for her work by various local and international organizations, such as the Bayer Foundation, Google, Ashoka, Boehringer Ingelheim, and the Jack Ma Foundation. She has also served on the Scientific Programme Committee for Conference of Public Health in Africa (CPHIA) 2023 and served as the co-Track Lead on Digital Innovation. She is a sought-after global speaker on digital innovation, business of healthcare, and entrepreneurship.
We congratulate Abimbola on this remarkable achievement and we look forward to supporting her in her journey to transform the health sector in Nigeria and beyond.
